Lodging at Buenaventura is simple, comfortable, and designed to support rest, focus, and immersion in nature. Spaces are intentionally minimal, encouraging a slower pace and time spent outdoors.

The property is remote and quiet, with shared and private spaces shaped by the rhythm of the river and rainforest.

Cacao Kinder Lodge

The main lodge offers a mix of private and shared accommodations, set next to Maya Luna Temple and surrounded by our Cacao Superfood forest.

Accommodation may include:

  • Private rooms for individuals or couples

  • Shared bunk-style sleeping spaces

  • Covered common areas for reading, working, or gathering

All lodging is designed to be comfortable and functional rather than luxurious.

Living Simply

Buenaventura is not a resort or hotel. It is a working piece of land with a rustic, grounded feel.

Guests should expect:

  • A calm, off-grid environment

  • Simple, well-kept living spaces

  • Natural sounds from the forest and river

This simplicity is part of the experience and helps create a sense of ease and presence.

Daily Rhythm & Connectivity

For our short-term visitors and guests who attend a Group Retreat or sign up for one of our All-Inclusive Packages, daily schedules are structured depending on the retreat or package, often with enough downtime for relaxation and time on your own to explore the grounds.

For our long-term residents there is no fixed schedule. Days are unstructured, with optional activities, allowing renters to move at their own rhythm, whether that means working, resting, exploring the river or focusing on personal projects.

Reliable internet is available to support focused work when needed, while the overall environment remains calm and distraction-free.

Meals & Shared Spaces

Meals are simple, nourishing and prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Specific meal arrangements may vary depending on the length and nature of the stay.

For our short-term guests attending a Group Retreat or signed up for an All-Inclusive Package, meals are served buffet-style or single plate servings depending on the Meal Plan selected.

For our long-term renters, we offer a communal kitchen in the Cacao Kinder Lodge where renters can prepare their own meals or they choose a Meal Plan that is prepared for them by our staff.

Shared spaces at the Cacao Kinder Lodge are treated with care and respect, supporting a quiet and relaxed atmosphere for all guests.

Shared space at Maya Luna Temple’s Ascension Studio is available for a fee or included for our guests attending scheduled Group Retreats during operating hours.
